Anything that sets itself up against the knowledge of God is a stronghold. A stronghold is not just a thought, it is much deeper and much more sturdy and rooted in pride. Taking the place of the Lord’s comfort, protection, peace, actually anything that goes before Christ is Satan’s deception to a believer.

That is why we can not in our strength defeat the strongholds we place first and foremost in our lives. Our strongholds bring the yoke of slavery to believers, and that is not what Christ came for. The enemy knows he can not get you to worship him directly so he will place anything or anyone that will tempt you to exalt anything or anyone over Christ. Look, we all have them but there is only one way to defeat and live victoriously, and that is surrendering and yielding control over to Jesus to guard our minds faithfully. He came to set the captive free! This is excellent news! Friends, today if you are in any way justifying a behavior or even an obsessive thought or find yourself excusing a behavior.

Can I ask you to do one thing? Take the action/thought to the Lord Jesus in prayer ask Him to show you if it is what He wants your mind to dwell on. Ask yourself does this thought line up with the Word of God? Then open the Bible and ask Jesus to guide you in seeking the truth. Today I want to leave you with this verse

Isaiah 26:3 ” You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast (meaning your thoughts are of God) because he trust’s in you (because the person trust’s in God).

Meditate on this verse and just think about God and let your thoughts be upon, in, and about The Lord Almighty. His word says it will keep your mind in God’s perfect peace! Amen, Thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and eternal word! In Jesus beautiful and loving name Amen!

Sharing what I learned this morning in my personal bible study. I hope this blesses you and encourages you to seek Jesus in the pages of His beautiful word! I am praying for you and cheering you on! Fight the good fight! Moving forward in Christ Jesus.
