This lesson is really for all of us so men that read this, please replace woman with a man lol! But I do really want to share this with the ladies. This is something we all are battle-axing, and sometimes we end up chopping up our own hearts. I learned this in my Esther Bible study by Beth Moore, and I just think that I needed to be reminded of this so badly today! I want to share it only because I know how it has begun healing this girls heart and mind. Believe me, I sometimes wonder if I work God overtime with all the mess and the messed up girl I can be and; that I am. If we had a weight limit on baggage, I would be tipping the scales, just like all of you. We all walk different journeys and paths. Some of us are single moms, married that can be happy or unhappy both are hard work and exhausting. Some of us are mom’s of one child, some of us are a mom’s to many children both are a struggle both are exhausting, and some of us are a mom to none, and our soul is aching! Some, of us, have lots of friends some of us have only a few both are work and sometimes exhausting. Some of us have been what the world says is beautiful, and some of us are rejected because we are not considered from the world’s perspective as such, This is incredibly exhausting and hard to handle!! These are a few things that maybe we are, or maybe we are not in the view of the world and really all boils down to inadequacy! Do we ever as women struggle and drive ourselves crazy but also we turn our poor husbands and men in general bananas! We are screaming at them all the time ARE WE STILL GOOD ENOUGH! Seeking their approval on everything!! HMMMM sound familiar well it does to me and, guess where it leads to an emotional meltdown of the nuclear kind, you know the UGLY cry, The PITY TRAIN (toot, toot) all aboard the Pity train it never stops it just keeps circling at record speed hoping to derail and crash and burn! LOL, you know what I am talking about!! Okay well in my bible study she hit the nail on the head, and it was hard to hear! But anyone who loves Bible study knows that God will show us things about ourselves not to hurt us but to help us even when they are hard to see and hear! So here it comes!! I am praying that I say this to the Glory of God and to share what is currently helping and healing what the world has broken in my life. There are two verse’s I want to start off with one is going to explain I believe why we crave our man’s approval; so much we forget that our first love is Jesus! (Ouchie) For me this happened yesterday I was playing with fire and guess what I got burned and it left a mark, but Jesus was right there to put me right back on track! Thank you, Jesus! I will say this in all my messiness I can’t ever overwhelm God, but I can surely overwhelm my husband with all my emotions! So he pulled me, and I am thankful I ran into His arms for comfort but most of all to cast my anxieties on Him! Praise you, Father!
Genesis 3:16
To the woman He said:
” I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain, you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”
Okay so in this verse we see that this is the downfall of man and woman and this is God giving punishment for disobedience. Women read this verse God is directly telling us what our hang-ups (sin nature curse) our human desires and bondages!! Wow!!! But through the Blood of Jesus and through Salvation we can overcome this!!! Look below at the verse in Deut. 23 He will turn our curse into a blessing why because He loves us!!! Praise God!! Amen!!
In Deut. 23:5
Nevertheless, The Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.
So, the point I am trying to make is when we go running to our husbands/children/friends to make us secure in so many ways ( I won’t even try to name them, the list is so long) We are falling into Genesis 3:16 as a curse!! But we know how God loves us, and He through Jesus has now turned our bondage from approval of man into a blessing by giving us Jesus our Savior. Our first love, our comforter, our Redeemer, our deliverer, our stronghold; our rock, our fortress and hiding place, our encourager, our creator, our faithfulness, our joy, our happiness, our strength, our foundation, our blessing, our grace, our forgiveness, our hearts, our song’s, our provision, our provider, our dependency, our need, our want, our love, our treasure, our faith, our hope, our security, our confidence! I could be here all day listing things He is but most of all He is our everything girls!! Jesus is our all and all the first not the last He is more than a man, stop selling yourself short and realize no husband, no child, no friend, no anything can love and encourage you like Christ!! So we are not doomed to be cursed to just desire our husbands for everything, we have been blessed through the salvation of Jesus Christ and the blood He shed to set us free in bondage to walk in the freedom of letting Christ be our all and all our everything! Our First Love never stops running to Him, He can handle you! You can never overwhelm Him, He never comes Undone! I hope and pray that you find rest in that like I did last night! I love women because I am one. I don’t always understand our sex.But, I know that without you; and I this world would be lacking, and just like God created man he also created woman we complement/help each other. We are not a replacement designed to fill the void for one another in needing our creator. We should stop trying to push our insecurities on someone that was never meant to fulfill them instead we should be running to the creator to hear what He says about us! You were made purposefully and wonderfully, and no one loves you more that Jesus Christ! So today I am going to work on reining in my emotions and not dumping on my husband or friends or children but instead dumping (casting) it all at the feet of Jesus! Amen! We are all work in progress He is dealing with us all according to His will! I hope all my beautiful woman friends that read this feel and receive how valued you are in Your Father’s eyes! You are His warrior princess, He is wild for YOU! He holds each one of His son’s and daughters in His palms!! I know that I am not the only female that is struggling with this; I know our human nature which is mostly about the focus on ourselves. I am praying for you today because, I personally know the pain/struggle of it even if our circumstances don’t match up, know that I am praying for you and love you dearly! God has us, like Psalm 62:5 states FIND REST MY SOUL, FIND REST! Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God! Remembering in your stillness that God is fighting for You to win this battle over your flesh!! We can do this through Jesus!! Amen!
