Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day

In case you did not know it, you are stunningly beautiful and doing a fabulous job. You, wake up, jump into action every day. No matter what sickness, mess, or strain is awaiting you. You rise up to meet the day and the challenges it holds.

As I am thinking how to express my thoughts about what a mother is, what more importantly comes to my mind is how being a mother changed us. We all come from different stories so I want to be mindful of that. Here is what I want to truly say:

You are doing a good job!

No matter where you find yourself, no matter how loud your teenager’s mouth is, No matter how rebellious or mischievous your toddlers are being.

You are doing a good job!

God knows the trauma of the Momma’s heart that has lost a baby or babies. God, handpicked you for your children, even the babies that left your arms straight to Jesus’ minutes after being born. God, handpicked you for the baby that would not be carried to full- term. God picked you to love the child who you lost in this life. I don’t know why’s to all of these things, but I know that God picked you as a mother for a purpose. I can only guess, but, your love must be phenomenal to be entrusted with such a precious soul. I know down deep, only God knows. So even if your hands are empty Momma, your heart is filled with love and treasures of a child that has passed.

You are doing a good job!

God knows the anguish of a single Momma’s heart. I see you, and I sit next to you in church pews. I see the prayer’s you throw up to God in distress. Feeling like all the weight of the world is carried on your back. I see your burden and often admire your strength and resilience. So even if your heart is heavy laden and overwhelmed, your hands lifted high still praise God.

You are doing a good job!

God knows the broken heart of the motherless Momma’s heart. Maybe you didn’t have an example to follow along the dotted lines. Perhaps, your Mother is in heaven, and you feel that void. Regardless, you are remaining faithful to motherhood without that support only a Mother can give. How you long for your mother, but you still provide unselfishly and steadfast to your children. You might have what the world would say a disadvantage, but your heart pours out mercy, grace, and love through it all.

You are doing a great job!

God knows the anxious heart of the woman who longs to be a Mother. He knows you would do anything to hold a baby in your arms. God sees your struggle and has whispered in your ear. I don’t know what will happen on your journey, but He does. Whether it be through your womb or another’s you are going to be such an awesome Mommy! Hold tight to Jesus and don’t give up faith. By faith, it might not be pretty, it might not be how you planned it, but by faith all things are possible. Even though your womb is empty, your heart is filled with the firm conviction that God is faithful and hears your cries. God honors your confidence and is so pleased with you.

You are doing a great job!

God knows the exhausted heart of the Mother of a special needs child. The heart of a Mother who prays for healing, but decides the actual healing is the blessing and the honor to love a soul that is so pure. All the doctors, specialist, and therapy. All the toting and doting the caregiving you display every day without a thought or care, just pure love. You never waiver, you never take a break. You remain, just like the Lord, in His image of Christ. Even though your child doesn’t look like, or talk like, or walk like everyone else your heart and hands are full of compassion and the gift of caring.

You are doing a great job!

Whatever kind of Mom or struggle you are in, you are doing your best. Your best is all you can bring, leave the rest in His hands and watch what He does. I am so blessed by Mother’s, and I pray for you to have a blessed Mother’s day even though life is not perfect. We are all struggling in some way with something. I love Mom’s and pray this blessed your heart. Hold your head up high and know that God knows the Mother’s heart and just in case no one has told you lately no matter how you’re a Mom, YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB!

Saying a prayer for you with love and compassion in my heart, from one Mom to another, here my babies, this is an old pic of us, but truly my favorite. Enjoy your day and know that you are honored and cherished.
