Own Your Worth

Greetings to all reading the blog today.  May it be a blessing to you as it is for me sharing.

Let’s pray

Dear Heavenly Father, as we continue to grow deeper in love with you, help us, to be aware of those around us needing your love as well. It’s easy to get caught up in “our truth” and lose focus on you. Be BOLD to us when we fall short of the messages you have for us; when we lose our attention from you.  May we Lord, glorify you, by reaching out to the ones who can’t seem to find their way. Help us, to reveal to them the only way is through you in our actions and words. Help us, to relate to one another in one accord so that we appear as one army in connection with the Holy Spirit.  Let us acknowledge the Holy Spirit when it’s present and declare its power over our lives.  I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen.

My Truth…

February 23, 2018. A day like any other day.  I woke up to get out of bed, I turned on my children’s lights and woke them up for school.  I proceeded to order some products online before I took them to school.  I don’t usually do work things before 10 a.m. because I wanted to exercise; I thought that I needed to get this one thing done. Ten minutes from walking out the door my ordinary life took a turn that I couldn’t imagine, I suffered a stroke.

While my children were scrambling to get their things together to walk out the door,  I was trying to figure out how to get back in my house from going outside to warm up my car.  Finally, making it back in I mumbled, that they needed to call their grandmother, who was only minutes away.  The look of fear on their faces.  I’ll never forget it. As I stumbled around trying to see correctly,  I felt as if I was in a cloud. I felt light as a feather.  Everything I was experiencing didn’t seem real.  My children were so upset, and I couldn’t get upset with them! I had zero pain or discomfort. I was disoriented and couldn’t see properly, but for some reason I had peace.

It is so hard to describe into words what I was feeling emotionally and physically.  I felt as if I was in a different place. My body was here, but my spirit was somewhere else.  To see my kids upset usually ignites anxiety in me, but I had no emotions to express.  I now understand the words “out of body experience.” I was lucky….or was I?

God’s mercy reigned supreme.  I was hospitalized for three days and sent home.  I spent twenty weeks in rehab.  My body responded as well as it could. I am grateful where I am physically and emotionally. I am a new person, I know I could be much worse. There is a point of which your body and mind will only allow you to do before it literally shuts itself down.  It is a science, I wished, I could explain, but I know that there is only one explanation…

God the creator of the Universe!

In many ways, I feel that my life parallels with many others.  For instance, I feel as if I somehow can relate to stories I have read in scripture. I don’t mean literally but figuratively of course. The Bible was written thousands of years ago, yet, as I read through it, I’m amazed at the way each story is told and how relatable it is to my truth.

For instance, let’s take Joseph’s story. He came from a large family. He was not liked by his brothers so they conspired against him. His brother’s thought that murdering him would be the answer. Then his oldest brother Rueben stepped in, and he was sold instead. For years he was enslaved then became Potipher’s right-hand man with one request to not have any relationship with his wife. Well, she desired to have a relationship with Joseph but he is a man of God,  a man who honored his position under Potipher’s leadership.  So she lied and Joseph was thrown into jail. There he gained trust from the warden. He beyond his troubles had favor with God. God gave him the ability to interpret dreams. Pharaoh was very pleased with his gift.  Joseph went on to save the people from famine in Egypt.  (Read Genesis Chapters 36-46.)

Joseph could have easily, from adolescence age, have made a decision to not follow the calling God had for him.  He could have rebelled at each place he was brought to. Eliminating his chances at making his environments better than they were. But, because of his obedience to God, Joseph chose the right side to be on. He made a decision to fight for his dignity by doing things that were pleasing to God. He forgave his brothers.

Through everything, you’ve been through, have you made decisions that could have put you in a good position with God and your neighbors? If not, it’s ok, you still can, you have the same freedom as we all do and the many others before you.  Having Faith makes things possible, not easy. You just have to believe that your truth doesn’t define you in any way. That your unique experiences refined you, made you stronger, wiser, and gave you more endurance for the next hurdle to get through.

I’m about to celebrate my “Strokeversary!” That is Stroke Anniversary.  1 year ago this could have been a totally different outcome and yet he has me here sharing with you how you can be your better self.  All you have to do is be encouraging to others. Igniting a fire of inspiration for someone who needs it.

I believe my parallel to this is that through it all, being an orphan, living in a group home, many health issues,  gaining the trust of those around me through my heart on display, being willing to be obedient at any cost, believing that Jesus is the only way to my happiness. I know without a doubt that my testimony, who I know I am through Christ, is the Truth that I need to survive until he calls me home.  What he equips me to be through the process, is his will and I can submit to it. That means I’ll take whatever fire that comes my way in the namesake for the King of King’s and Lord of Lords.  I am invested because He is invested in me.

So don’t let your identity be sold by others. Your identity is in Christ Jesus the son of God who came to redeem you in his name.  Live out your story with integrity and honor to the one who gave, Jesus, so that you can live forever beside him.  The things we endure are not in vain nor are they to define us; they are to refine us.  Today is a new day, live in obedience to God and own your truth.

Glory of God, Came Down

gloryofgod2

Thank you, Lord, for coming down from your throne in Heaven. Leaving angels perplexed while your plan of redemption for mankind had begun (1 Peter 1:10-12) in your perfect time and in your perfection. Thank you, Lord, for tearing the veil from bottom to top. Paul writes in Hebrews 10:19-20 Jesus’ body was torn so all man could have an eternal life and all His power and glory could transcend to be with the Father. Because the moment when the veil of our Savior, Jesus was torn something radical happened.

Jesus broke the curse of sin and death trampling the enemy with one final blow delivering defeat and handing us the keys to victory and eternity. God descended from heaven all His glory power through the womb of Mary becoming both flesh and God, and he walked wrapped in human flesh with all of God’s glory, Jesus.

godsglory3

He even died in all of God’s glory, and power. Jesus’ body was broken and bruised with all of God’s glory. The same power and glory that was laid to rest in a borrowed tomb. The same glory and power that rose Jesus from the grave on the third day. It is the same glory and power that breathed His first breath in a cold, smelly, crowded stable with a tired young mother and even more anxious father awaiting the cry of their first-born miracle son Jesus. The day that Son of God arrived in all of God’s glory and power and honor; hidden in the flesh of an infant boy born to a virgin. The angel – said His name was to be Jesus.

– Luke 1:31-33

You will become pregnant and give birth to a son. You must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High God. The Lord God will make Him a king like his father David of long ago. He will rule forever over His people, who came from Jacob’s family. His kingdom will never end.”
For to us a Child shall be born, to us, a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
Isaiah 9:6

And, so it was His name is Jesus, and as Mary wrapped the cold, infant in swaddling rags. The Heavens and Earth declared and displayed that The Savior of the World, The King Of Kings, and Lord of Lord’s had indeed been born into the world; to save and restore humankind from death to life eternally. Oh, how blessed we truly are to have such a loving Creator. Thank you, Father, for the birth and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, my Wonderful Counselor, my Mighty God, my Everlasting Father, and my Prince of Peace. All I have to bring is my love and a broken heart. I am grateful that is all that you ask because of Jesus Christ.  Jesus, you have appeared to us, and loved each of us with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3)

The Best Rest

This lesson is really for all of us so men that read this, please replace woman with a man lol! But I do really want to share this with the ladies. This is something we all are battle-axing, and sometimes we end up chopping up our own hearts. I learned this in my Esther Bible study by Beth Moore, and I just think that I needed to be reminded of this so badly today! I want to share it only because I know how it has begun healing this girls heart and mind. Believe me, I sometimes wonder if I work God overtime with all the mess and the messed up girl I can be and; that I am. If we had a weight limit on baggage, I would be tipping the scales, just like all of you. We all walk different journeys and paths. Some of us are single moms, married that can be happy or unhappy both are hard work and exhausting. Some of us are mom’s of one child, some of us are a mom’s to many children both are a struggle both are exhausting, and some of us are a mom to none, and our soul is aching! Some, of us, have lots of friends some of us have only a few both are work and sometimes exhausting. Some of us have been what the world says is beautiful, and some of us are rejected because we are not considered from the world’s perspective as such, This is incredibly exhausting and hard to handle!! These are a few things that maybe we are, or maybe we are not in the view of the world and really all boils down to inadequacy! Do we ever as women struggle and drive ourselves crazy but also we turn our poor husbands and men in general bananas! We are screaming at them all the time ARE WE STILL GOOD ENOUGH! Seeking their approval on everything!! HMMMM sound familiar well it does to me and, guess where it leads to an emotional meltdown of the nuclear kind, you know the UGLY cry, The PITY TRAIN (toot, toot) all aboard the Pity train it never stops it just keeps circling at record speed hoping to derail and crash and burn! LOL, you know what I am talking about!! Okay well in my bible study she hit the nail on the head, and it was hard to hear! But anyone who loves Bible study knows that God will show us things about ourselves not to hurt us but to help us even when they are hard to see and hear! So here it comes!! I am praying that I say this to the Glory of God and to share what is currently helping and healing what the world has broken in my life. There are two verse’s I want to start off with one is going to explain I believe why we crave our man’s approval; so much we forget that our first love is Jesus! (Ouchie) For me this happened yesterday I was playing with fire and guess what I got burned and it left a mark, but Jesus was right there to put me right back on track! Thank you, Jesus! I will say this in all my messiness I can’t ever overwhelm God, but I can surely overwhelm my husband with all my emotions! So he pulled me, and I am thankful I ran into His arms for comfort but most of all to cast my anxieties on Him! Praise you, Father!

Genesis 3:16
To the woman He said:
” I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain, you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”

Okay so in this verse we see that this is the downfall of man and woman and this is God giving punishment for disobedience. Women read this verse God is directly telling us what our hang-ups (sin nature curse) our human desires and bondages!! Wow!!! But through the Blood of Jesus and through Salvation we can overcome this!!! Look below at the verse in Deut. 23 He will turn our curse into a blessing why because He loves us!!! Praise God!! Amen!!

In Deut. 23:5
Nevertheless, The Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.

In the quite

So, the point I am trying to make is when we go running to our husbands/children/friends to make us secure in so many ways ( I won’t even try to name them, the list is so long) We are falling into Genesis 3:16 as a curse!! But we know how God loves us, and He through Jesus has now turned our bondage from approval of man into a blessing by giving us Jesus our Savior. Our first love, our comforter, our Redeemer, our deliverer, our stronghold; our rock, our fortress and hiding place, our encourager, our creator, our faithfulness, our joy, our happiness, our strength, our foundation, our blessing, our grace, our forgiveness, our hearts, our song’s, our provision, our provider, our dependency, our need, our want, our love, our treasure, our faith, our hope, our security, our confidence! I could be here all day listing things He is but most of all He is our everything girls!! Jesus is our all and all the first not the last He is more than a man, stop selling yourself short and realize no husband, no child, no friend, no anything can love and encourage you like Christ!! So we are not doomed to be cursed to just desire our husbands for everything, we have been blessed through the salvation of Jesus Christ and the blood He shed to set us free in bondage to walk in the freedom of letting Christ be our all and all our everything! Our First Love never stops running to Him, He can handle you! You can never overwhelm Him, He never comes Undone! I hope and pray that you find rest in that like I did last night! I love women because I am one. I don’t always understand our sex. But, I know that without you; and I this world would be lacking, and just like God created man he also created woman we complement/help each other. We are not a replacement designed to fill the void for one another in needing our creator. We should stop trying to push our insecurities on someone that was never meant to fulfill them instead we should be running to the creator to hear what He says about us! You were made purposefully and wonderfully, and no one loves you more that Jesus Christ! So today I am going to work on reining in my emotions and not dumping on my husband or friends or children but instead dumping (casting) it all at the feet of Jesus! Amen! We are all work in progress He is dealing with us all according to His will! I hope all my beautiful woman friends that read this feel and receive how valued you are in Your Father’s eyes! You are His warrior princess, He is wild for YOU! He holds each one of His son’s and daughters in His palms!! I know that I am not the only female that is struggling with this; I know our human nature which is mostly about the focus on ourselves.  I am praying for you today because, I personally know the pain/struggle of it even if our circumstances don’t match up, know that I am praying for you and love you dearly! God has us, like Psalm 62:5 states FIND REST MY SOUL, FIND REST! Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God! Remembering in your stillness that God is fighting for You to win this battle over your flesh!! We can do this through Jesus!! Amen!

Worst feeling is stuck

All God’s children wander in the wilderness but, we do not have to stay in the land of Egypt; we can choose the promised land.

~Kimberly Ferren

th-4

Beware of Egypt, and how it seems like a good place to stay! It is a place that visually looks secure and gives false hope and promise. But when you look deeper it is just a rotting carcass that is wasting away because it is the world and not God!

Everything in Hebrew has meaning some words have several meanings.  It is exciting studying and learning the culture and language! As a Christian with no Jewish bloodlines but also knowing that I have been grafted (hybrid vine) into the line by my Savior Yeshua (Jesus)( The original vine). Which as the Apostle Paul says came to save the Jew first but out of their rebellion came forth the sovereign plan of redemption for the whole world (all nations, Gentiles) which was declared through Genesis and displaying all the way through Revelation! Praise God!

So what I want to share a lesson I learned yesterday.

In Hebrew, the name for used for Egypt is Mitzrayim which means Narrow Straits/ Confined.

You know, I could not help but reflect on the book of Exodus when I hear the word Egypt. I know that God has a lot of meaning in His Word

Egypt is a physical place and a symbolic place that can describe all of us, and when we all were out of fellowship with God. Also, believing it is not only a physical place but, a description of moving and receiving a covenant with God. Just as the Israelite’s did by choosing to follow God by way of Moses out of Egypt; or to remain in a place, person, thing that is seductively leading and giving false hope and trust. Which we will stay in slavery and bondage to sin, and defeat and destruction. So let us be diligent not to remain in any sort of Egypt.

Remember when God was going to deliver the people of God out of slavery and into the promised land. Only 20% of them made it, and 80% wanted to return to Egypt and did return to Egypt. They became afraid to go into the promise land and did not trust the security of God. A fear which led to sin blinded them from the goodness of God. Let’s not forget that Moses was not even allowed in the promise land due to his disobedience by striking the rock again. Moses allowed the people to frustrate and anger him to do something against God! There is a valuable lesson for our leaders today inside the Church. I pray that we are obedient to God, so we are allowed to go forth into our promised land. That we do not permit people to frustrate us to the point, we feel like we have to prove God’s existence to them by going against our Gods instruction.

The Israelites honestly could not understand God’s deliverance/promise and they became rebellious and hard-hearted and decided that they would return to resemble a nation and a leader and a worldly comfort instead of choosing to follow God, and to obey because it is not instant and always is incredibly challenging and stressed. God is building your faith and trust. Is anything impossible for El Shaddai?

In Exodus 13:17-18 we see how the children of Israel left Egypt which God could have led them to the straight to the Philistines but, chose not too because He knew they would return right back around if they met war immediately! God knows what is best for our human limits and is merciful so that we can faithfully escape our Egypt, and God will lead us to the Promised Land only if we allow Him and trust Him no matter what. We know how this end’s written in scripture. We are aware through the whole wilderness the Israelites complain, become rebellious, ungrateful, and they try to take control over and over again. We know right before they come into the promise land there were large or giant men in that nation. God ordered for the Israelites to go into the land, but many were too afraid and simply did not believe God and turned back.

promised-land

What is your Egypt? Your Egypt is a prison that restrains you from God! It takes you to make the first bold leap of faith! Not everyone can do this. Look at the numbers as evidence, but for the Israelite’s that did follow they received the view of the plan of redemption! God gives us commands and rules to bless us not as punishment.

If we choose not to follow He does not punish us but does allow our environment and our decisions to take hold of us because our flesh is unable to make anything right so, you see the dilemma if we choose not to follow God! He simply takes His hand off, so that we have to endure our consequences of our knowledge and wisdom.

The Hebrew word for Boat is AYNA which means a ship and boat and in Hebrew root word is YNA, and that means me and I.

This ship lets say is us since it does mean I or me. Typically this is a journey personal/ transitional Good or Bad either way! We refer to this as a Turning Point, or we say that a person is finding themselves. Egypt is often referred to as a journey of self into enslavement. Do not be a victim of false promises and seductive trust from man, things or governments. Bondage/Slavery/Entrapment resembles Egypt, and the only thing that is in waiting for us in Egypt is condemnation and frustration and being enslaved.

“Don’t let your boat, float you back to Egypt. Row it towards the promise land.”

Kimberly Ferren

Trust God and God alone to be the deliverer, to save, to be truthful, to provide and comfort. He cannot fail or deceive. We have a wonderful Father! Let’s take his promptings and wake up before it is too late, and we are already sailing toward that doomed nation of slavery and lies in my opinion.

We as the church have stopped rowing, and started floating. We know we are headed towards Egypt. Sadly, only a few are rowing and, we are running this boat in circles getting nowhere except further down the river towards Egypt which is slavery.

Kimberly Ferren

I speak this to you today whatever your Egypt is or might be I ask in my Saviors name Jesus Christ that He would awake Your spirit and reveal to you His plan of salvation and deliverance! In Jesus Mighty and Saving name Amen! Even so Lord, Even so

Secret’s Old and New

father-and-child-hands

God always, always. ALWAYS has a timing for every individual! I am not talking about just in big things. I am talking even in the small things that we don’t think measure up to a hill of beans! At that moment divine intervention is happening, and someone needs to hear what God has laid on your heart. There is always a reason, and more often than not we are totally clueless!! I pray today that you will take the time to meditate in and on the Father!! You are precious, and you are sealed with His Holy Spirit!

Let me for a moment just say something to you a child of God! You are a fulfillment of scripture. You are a part of a covenant of old and new now that you have received Christ as the risen Savior! If you believe God sent His son to take the full wrath of God so, that we can be restored to our Heavenly Father. Jesus arose three days later defeating sin and in the second coming bringing justice and, doing away with death once and for all and the enemy; if you profess with your mouth and believe in your heart, soul, and mind, then you my friend are a spiritual son or daughter of the Living God. Like Abraham believing God (faith). God credited Abraham for righteousness! (Galatians 3:6-9)

Like Abraham believing God (faith). God credited Abraham for righteousness! (Galatians 3:6-9) So, you by finding God (faith) through the Son of God Jesus, and Jesus being the Messiah fully man while being fully God then you are a part of the ongoing fulfilment of the promise (covenant) with Abraham, and you are also most importantly under the new covenant of Jesus Christ!! Can you see that you are justified through the blood of Jesus Christ? You are a part of the plan even in the old and now the new covenant!! Praise God for his plan to redeem all humankind!

Last note never let the enemy whisper deceit into your ear! The only way to combat the enemy is through God’s word! It is truth and if something you are thinking or speaking does not pass through the word of God then toss it out! If it does then cherish and gird yourself up; even if it hurts your flesh ask Jesus to help apply this scripture to your life whatever that may be! Paul says in Hebrews 12:5-13 even the Lords discipline is a blessing and a mark that we are His!! Praise Jesus even when He has to discipline me most of all but, also you too as a good father does!!

Loving and praying for you all!! Keep up the good work and keep on fighting and growing!!

You are Ready

In 1 Samuel 17 we read about David and Goliath, what actually just came straight off the page to me was 1 Samuel 17:28 Eliab, David’s oldest brother. Eliab’s anger grew toward David when he heard what David had said to the others.

David had boldly said in verse above Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
David was stating why should we fear a man that is not in covenant with Elohim Hayyrim (the living God) Eliab even went on to say he knew  David’s prideful and disrespectful bold heart is what brought him from the sheep fields to say this. David’s response to Eliab was “Is there not a cause?”
What I really got from this scripture is that even your own family or even the family of God will be used by the enemy to discourage, hurt, and minimize you and your calling. Don’t be surprised. Some of my greatest giants have not been Goliath’s (enemy) but have been right in and through the family of God or people who are in relationships with me (Eliab’s). When this happens, remember David’s response in verse 29 and then action 1 Samuel 17:30 Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did.
See sometimes you have to just have to meet your Eliab with a question. Is there not a cause? Then turn from them and toward the calling Jesus has for you, proclaiming Jesus’s gospel and making disciples. They do not understand the training and grooming that has taken place in the field of faith. There will always be the accusers of the brethren. But remember just as David was in the shepherd’s field. God sent a Bear and a Lion for David to slay and retrieve the lamb’s from their mouth’s to train David in courage and strength so he would one day throw a stone in a slingshot that would slay a 9-foot giant and defeat the enemy. So if you find yourself up against a 9-foot giant reflect on the field of faith and what you have learned in those experiences. Were you not victorious? Has God not prepared you already? Why are you still standing there, throw that stone (request) in that slingshot (prayer) and watch that Goliath (enemy) fall to his defeat! Move on into your calling and take what God has called you too even if you do run into some Eliab’s on the way 😉 you can do it! We have the living God on our side! Praise God!
Lord, you have equipped me to take down my Goliath! You have trained and prepared me so that I will be full of courage and strength! Lord, who dares to defy the Living God by standing in your way? Who questions the Lord when He has chosen? Thank you, Lord, for speaking to this wandering heart and giving me faith to push! All glory and honor are yours, Father! In Jesus Name Amen!

Servants Sent for the King’s Kindness

path

Today, I want to speak directly to the servants of Jesus Christ our King and Savior. I want you to know that He has sent you to extend His kindness, mercy, and grace. Even to a hostile people. Jesus spoke to me this morning through the word of God, and this is what He showed me through this passage of scripture. We will be taking apart 2 Samuel chapter 10.

First to just give you some background I would like you to know who the Ammonites were and where exactly their history and culture was. This always helps me in my study and helps me get the picture of the scene God is painting here. Ammonites were descendants of Ben-Ammi which is a son of Lot ( Gen. 19:38). The Ammonites were also an idolatrous nation, and their chief idol was Moloch which was a god that they sacrificed their children into the fire for this idol. In 1 Kings 11:5-7 we see King Solomon was led by his foreign wives to worship Milcom another name for Moloch. The Bible also mention’s this offense again in 2 Kings 23:13. The name Ammonites means “son of my people,” “children of my people,” which the Israelite’s would understand or say to them as that they are relatives and avoid conflict with them. (Deuteronomy 2:19). Their land was already given to them as God provided, so the Israelite’s knew not to engage in war with them because they were related as they were descendants of Lot, Abraham’s nephew. Their land was east of the Jordan river.

Now with this information, we can see that this nation had totally fallen away from God and were now worshiping other gods.

Second_Book_of_Samuel_Chapter_10-2_(Bible_Illustrations_by_Sweet_Media)To get back to the scripture that we are looking at we see in 2 Samuel 10 that Hanun’s father who was the king of Ammon had just passed away. King David was sending a group of men that were very honorable men of King David. These men had noble and honorable intentions as servants of the King. They were simply going to represent the kindness, mercy, and grace for King David to Hanun during the loss of his father Nahash, just as his father showed kindness to King David. Hanun’s name even means gracious which is quite ironic because that is the last thing he showed to King David’s men. We see further down in verse 3 that the leaders said to Hanun “Just because David sent men with condolences for you, do you believe he’s showing you respect for your father? Instead, David has sent these men to scout out the city, spy on it, and demolish it? I would like to input here that what dwells in the heart, is in the mind and what is in the mind comes out of the mouth. You see they were suspicious and evil in their thinking because that is what dwells in their hearts. See they were already at war with King David in their hearts they just needed an opportunity to pounce and devise a poorly thought out plan of attack on the King’s servants.

004-david-ammonites.jpgIn verse 4 we see Hanun take the noble servants of King David and shave half their beards, and cut their clothes to expose their private parts to humiliate them and send a clear message to the King. See in shaving half their beards off it would not only make them look ridiculous but they would be in violation of the law (Lev. 19:27), as they would look as if they were mourning (Isaiah 15:2, Jer.41:5) see their actions were clearly speaking we will return your kindness for war (we will humiliate you for your kindness).

King David when he heard of this, he sent someone to the servants and told them to stay in Jericho until their beards grew back normal and they could be restored back. What an awesome King! We have that in our King Jesus when His servants have been sent to extend His kindness, mercy, and grace, and they are humiliated and mocked even scorned. He is faithful to send someone (Holy Spirit) to comfort us and to hide us away until we can be restored. Not just that but King David immediately sent Joab his commander to engage the Ammonites in battle. See just like King David; Jesus recognizes the threat that they meant to humiliate you but He will seek justice for you and will turn what was intended to harm you into good. I can imagine Jesus saying “Gabriel!  Go help my servant they have been humiliated and hurt, lead them to safety.” Jesus might have to set you in  Jericho (waiting) for a while so that your “beard” (confidence) will grow back and others will not mock you or humiliate you further, but He will restore you back into your role as an honorable servant and seek justice for your humiliation.

See the issue here was they were at war with the King, not the servants they took it out on the servants, but they were saying something much more with their intent saying that they would reject the kindness of  David, and they are at war. Sometimes we can be in situations just like King David’s men and have to endure shame and mocking because we are doing what the King sent us to do. God see’s the humiliation/mourning and He also see’s that you were left in shame but He promises there is a day where everything will be brought to justice, and the King has sent someone to comfort us and take away our guilt until the time is right to be restored to our rightful place in His Kingdom. That man is Jesus Christ. I pray this gives other servants of Christ encouragement today knowing that when we do what He asks and we serve him even through the humiliation that He will restore us back, and He will seek justice for us.

God see’s and God know’s never forget that He knows your shame and still loves you and still has a place for you in this earth and heaven to serve! Has your beard grown in? Is it time to return to the King? Leave Jericho and be with Your King again. Knowing that He is sending you again and again to display the kindness, grace, and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, our King, and Mighty Savior. Don’t lose hope! Don’t allow the enemies attack to render you helpless get back up and fight the good fight and know that you belong to The King of Kings!! I am praying for the servants of Christ, and I know that we endure for Jesus our King, but there is no other King I would serve or love because He is so good and kind and loving, most of all my, all in all, my everything!

Reluctant Relationships

Somebody asked me if I thought time changes a relationship! I had to think for a while. I think it can if we let it, but no I don’t think time changes any relationship. I think people change relationships with assumptions and feelings. If the heart is in it, then it will last. If the heart lets’s go, then the mind lets go, then the soul lets’s go then it wither’s! Love makes a relationship last, time just test’s a relationship. It takes two to communicate. You decide! You chose. I pray we don’t throw out relationships because of what we feel, but I pray we stay in long-suffering in our relationships. This might be the biggest challenge God has given me! See, I tend to be a guarded fortress when I “feel” uncomfortable. That’s not the mind of Christ or the heart of Christ! That is not healthy, and it surely is not serving anyone but old faithful misery. There are times that I get disappointed, hurt, angry, sad, depressed, happy, silly, embarrassed, humiliated in relationships; we all do, there are things we would take back in a blink of an eye because we know the outcome, and we want to avoid it at all cost! There are times that I would go back and say this better or do that this way, but we do not have that option. We have right now to be gentle with one another. We can choose to look at the bigger picture in a person’s life and understand that they are just as broken and hurting as we are. The Lord can give us compassion and will freely give us if we ask. I pray that each of us gives and bless someone else today. That we can see past the mess and see a person that is just as broken and bruised as I am. Listen, if God has called you to be a beautiful friend to someone do it with the excellence of Christ. If God has given you, a companion love them like Christ loved the church! If God gave you any relationship, then let that relationship bring glory and honor to Him! The enemy loves nothing more to divide and bring strife. He gave it all so we all could have Him but he also gave it all so that we would be a kingdom family one day. So choosing today to take my advice I am purposing my mind on heavenly things. ( Colossians 3:2). I want to fill the void of my heart with the love of Jesus Christ ( Ephesians 2:4-5) But God, being rich in mercy, because of the vast love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—
I purpose in my mind, heart and soul that 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; In relationships we need to understand that there is only one that was ever meant to fill us when we are dry and wandering in the desert. I choose to purpose my mind when I feel like I am in the wilderness that He will never leave me nor forsake me. That is the only thing that has kept me going through my life. I pray that He is what pushes you forward too! If not would you please open your heart to the great love and grace and mercy God has planned for you. That perfect grace, mercy, and salvation came from His throne in Heaven made Himself flesh and fellowship with humanity so that He could become sin and take it away from humankind so that we could be restored back to the Father! He bore every curse/sin mentally, physically, spiritually so that we could be with Him forever. And He declared that on the third day when He rose from the tomb! What a mighty God we serve and such love flows from the living water! I pray with all my heart that you know that love! That you purpose the Word of God over your mind, heart, and soul. Lord, we praise you! In your mighty and holy name, Jesus let this be a balm to a hurting heart! Lord your word never goes out void! Thank you, Jesus! Amenthholding-hands

Cling To A Good God

beautiful-love-5Romans 12:9

9 Let love be without hypocrisy, Abhor what is evil, Cling to what is good.

I am focusing on this verse today. Simply because I need to be reminded of what to cling onto this morning.

I found myself feeling so overwhelmed for no apparent reason. My life is not falling apart. I kept asking myself ” Why do I feel so beat down, and like a failure? “Why am I angry and upset over things that are out of my control?” ” Why am I allowing my mind to go over failing moments over and over?” I heard a still small voice say ” Pray!”. So, I did; A product of what wisdom and instruction that came out of that prayer this morning. I want to share.

I will jump right into verse and break it down. I am using Strong’s Greek and Hebrew concordance also Nelson’s Bible Dictionary, along with Bible Knowledge Commentary.

First, I would like to point out that the word love in verse 9 is the Greek word agape Strongs’s number 26. Which the definition is properly love, to prefer, divine love, benevolence, good will, esteem. So we can translate verse into Let love (divine love, proper love, good will, esteem, charity, to prefer). So Paul is saying let our love be shown as Christ’s divine love (agape).

The second Greek word I would like to point out is without hypocrisy (anupokritos) Strong’s number 505 here is the definition to act without hypocrisy, to act rightly or accordingly, not a phony (put on), describing sincere free from hidden agenda’s and without selfish motives. (Genuine). So Paul is instructing us to act this way directly.

The third Greek word that is in the Strong’s concordance is Abhor this is reference number 655. This Greek word is (apostugeó) the form in this scripture is a verb, So we know that a verb is an action, so we are to take action by detecting evil, hating the sin, our sincere hating of evil (intent). So again Paul is giving us insight and instruction on where our minds, hearts, and souls should be. Also, what is pleasing and acceptable to God.

The fourth Greek word used is evil. This is Strong’s reference number 4190. The Greek word is ponéros, This word means (an adjective which is also used substantively, derived from 4192 /pónos, “pain, severe trouble”) – properly, pain-ridden, emphasizing the inevitable agonies (misery) that always go with evil. What stood out to me is highlighting the inevitable (pain) that goes with evil. Isn’t that the truth! Especially when we emphasize suffering! We focus on the times we have stumbled and created anxiety within ourselves. Whether that be through thought, the enemy whispered, or just our flesh!

The fifth Greek word used in this verse is Cling (reference number in Strong’s is 2853) (kollaó) again we see the form as a verb so, Paul again is telling us to cling actively. So, we need with action to adhere (I sense you might not be getting the action part) I mean read the word, But not just read apply, Pray, Choose purposely to obey God’s word. The definition is (I glue) I join myself firmly, cleave, adhere, I keep company with, of friendly intercourse. So Paul is also saying to stay close to Jesus, He is the way, the truth, the light. (relationship).

The sixth and final Greek word used in this verse is good.
Reference number 18. The Greek word is agathos. The definition of this word is intrinsically good, good in nature, good whether it be seen to be so or not, the widest and most colorless of all words with this meaning. Using Help word studies, I found this definition to be helpful with the context of agathós – inherently (intrinsically) right; as to the believer, (agathós) describes what originates from God and is empowered by Him in their life, through faith. So again Paul was instructing us through faith and trust in God that even when it does not look confident or even when it looks desolate. We have faith and assurance that whatever trial or tribulation we are enduring that God has allowed it to build and grow our faith! So we cling to what is good which is the living God, no matter what season we are in! We are to remain and behave like a child of God. Don’t let a season define your whole relationship with God. Focus on the times that God has provided, delivered, blessed us. Stop focusing on the lows and creating misery within your heart, spirit, and mind. Remember, at these times to cling to Jesus, To hate evil, To love like Christ!

I love you guys! I pray and hope that the Holy Spirit would give you wisdom and love today. To let you know that He see’s your fight! He see’s and acknowledges your tears, pain, and suffering. I will leave you with this one of my favorite scriptures.

Romans 8:18

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

In Jesus Mighty and Saving name Amen, Friends!
Go Ahead! Write it on whatever you can to remind yourself that no matter what we can not compare our sufferings to what He is doing inside of our hearts!!! You are beautiful and precious; you are being renewed for a purpose! Lift your head up!
