There was room…

This past weekend my husband a I decided to take our three boys to the Ark Encounter. So we got a hotel room booked and took off in a mad dash toward northern Ky!

We live around the Paducah, Ky area so it was around a five hour drive. We arrived at hotel and I could tell the kids were excited and were fairly talkative for teenagers. We soon fell asleep and woke up and heading toward our adventure. I will tell you, it really is in the middle of nothing, but it is a gorgeous, hilly area! We parked, got our tickets, and before we knew it we were on a bus that takes you up the huge hill to the ark! We got off and let me tell you the size of the ark was amazing! Even three teenagers were really awe struck! We took our pics and walked up to the entrance. I seriously felt God stirring my heart, as we approached the bow, we could not believe how massive the ark was. I immediately asked God :

” Lord, this work was truly the work of your hands, Noah, was just your hands and feet.” I heard God speak to my heart and say ” There was room.”

Me not understanding at that moment went on, as we entered I thought to myself…

How many prayers that must have been said? In building this ark and the real ark?

How much faith must have taken for Noah to trust God truly?

How difficult it truly is to have faith at times, how many times did Noah wonder if He was crazy?

I couldn’t help relate that to my life, I see what Noah was called too and I see how big things resulted from his continued obedience. Small steps, Big steps, and in-between steps. The steps that Noah must have stumbled upon, and steps that left him possibly scratching his head. Nevertheless, they were steps of faith. Just simply believing God and believing His word.

Until you have seen what this simple man and his family were called to, you can not fathom it. The ark is so large that you without a doubt you know that God, Himself, could only have planned it. Every detail, every single thing was thought of with tender and careful love. To prepare a place for us all.

The same thing for you and me, what we are called to can only be accomplished by God alone. We are just the hands and feet of what He is doing in the earth. Our job is to receive instruction and follow through with the steps. Oh! That sounds so simple when I write it out, but how hard it is at times when I am walking it out. I struggle with holding or keeping the faith! Especially when I am just overwhelmed by what God is asking!

As I walk through and I see the handiwork of God, I hear that still, small voice say again, ” There was room.” I simply just listened, but not putting it together.

We get finished at the first level, and there is a place where a short movie is being played. I literary said to myself, ” Lord, there is so much room and space, even with all the animals being kept there is so much wasted space???”

I sat down on a bench with my kiddo’s and we watched a video, I looked around again and thought….

“Lord! There is so much room???? Why??? Why didn’t the people listen and get on the ark?”

and right there in the middle of a crowd of people God said to me,

” There was room for all of them, they had a place, they had a purpose, but they had a choice in it all, I made provision for them in hoping they would choose me.”

And the light-bulb went off in my mind and my heart. The people missed God’s plan and purpose for them because they thought it was crazy! They thought Noah went insane, but what they didn’t realize that God was all along trying to save them. God still faithfully provided for them, but because of their choice to not believe God, they perished. But, God! Faithful and True made room even for their rejection, my goodness, that is how much He loves. He would call a man to make a vessel for people who would never choose Him.

We are right in the middle of Holy Week, and I began to think of how the Jew’s did the same thing, they missed God, because they did not think he would come as a lamb because they wanted a mighty lion! How they missed Yeshua because He came for the least of these. How many people in our world think Jesus is a myth! How many won’t be in heaven because just like the people in Noah’s day thought Noah was a fruitcake! It hit me in so many ways this week that even if what God has asked of us to do never leads to one person, believing and trusting in Jesus, it is not in vain. God used Noah and not one soul other than His family entered that ark. Think about the heartbreak God and Noah felt like as that door, the way, closed tight. They knew that a choice leads us to life or death. Noah never saw those people again, what agony haunted him, I can’t even imagine. But even greater than Noah was Father God. How grieved He must have been having to close that door. I won’t get into the theology about it, but what I want you to think about today is this simple truth. There was room on the ark for every single person who wanted to live, they just had to believe. The same today, there is room at the supper table of God for you. There is a seat with your name on it, and the Son of God, Jesus Christ, with open arms saying, ” Believe In Me?”

Will you today, believe God?

You can have peace with God by saying this simply prayer to Him

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Jesus, I am a sinner, I am lost! I believe you died for all of my sin. I believe that you rose again, proclaiming victory and life in you. Jesus, come into my heart, help me know you, change me and guide me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

If you prayed that prayer I want to welcome you into the family of God! I love you, and I pray that God would raise you up mighty in Jesus Name! If you will comment or email me I would be honored to send you a Bible. You can email me @ mystrengthmysong5@gmail.com

Making All Things New

I love spring! I love that all the barrenness of winter is leaving, and new life is waking up. I am not a big fan of winter, but without winter we would not appreciate spring, would we? Most of all I love seeing the growth and the newness of what spring brings!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Sometimes it takes a season of winter or two ( lol ) to see a ” new thing ” come forth. A new way that God wants to do something in and through us. The only way that we will ever perceive a new way is to do a ” new thing”! Even though I perceive it to be mundane, it could be exactly what Isaiah 43:19 says, a stream in the desert to my soul.

Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

God is moving; He was moving when Isaiah wrote this verse; God was moving towards the cross. God has finished the final work through Jesus, but He is still doing new things. Still actively moving in us and on behalf of us. I love how this verse says DO YOU NOT SEE IT? Oh! That question hits me, just like the Jews missed Yeshua (Jesus) our Savior! We can be so caught up in our daily lives, daily rituals, the busyness of life, and miss what God wants for our lives. We can be so caught up in religious activities and good works and miss God if we are not actively reading and dialoguing with Him in the scriptures, we can miss Him and miss the small blessings He brings to us daily.

I think more than ever we are losing something spectacular in our relationships with God. It is dialogue, the word of God is going to deal directly with your heart. It is going to speak to places you thought were dead and barren. God’s word was meant to be opened and we are supposed to ask questions and allow Him to answer us with His word. Ask, and you will receive. Seek Him and you will find Him. Knock and He will answer you! ( Matthew 7:7)

This past weekend I went to a leadership conference. I love how God uses these conferences to fill us up and to speak to us clearly through our leaders inside the church. Plus, let’s be honest just getting away and in a new atmosphere can bring clarity in itself. I suppose that is why I love going so very much. It is about God doing a ” new thing” in me and for me.

He used leaders to directly speak to places of uncertainty with the word of God. Directly into my circumstances! That prompted me to ask God more in-depth questions and to confirm His will through His word to me personally. Guess, what He did!

If I had chose to just shrug off what I heard God speaking and go on my way, I will have missed something God has in store for me. I haven’t always been walking with Christ. I would say seven years total that I have had a real relationship with Jesus. For years I believed, and I accepted Christ, but I never accessed our relationship. I simply didn’t think I had too! I missed those years, but I know now I never have to miss Him again! I have heard the loud critics voice in my ear, saying: ” You are taking that out of context!” “God is not saying that or why would He say that to you.” I don’t have the most exquisite way of saying it, but here is what I have experienced with the word of God and the Holy Spirit. The word of God is God’s very breath, all 66 books, from Genesis to Revelation. I believe and want God’s very breath to breathe in my life every day. The Holy Spirit is the power, wisdom, knowledge and understanding that I must have in order to take God’s breath in. I wish that for everyone, but as a person who lives in reality, I know that some won’t. That does not stop me though!!! I love God’s word, for goodness sake, anyone who knows me has seen my library of commentaries and my resource ” stuff ” I am not writing this to defend myself; I am merely writing this to express what God has shared with me and has helped me so much along the way. So here it goes:

English Standard Version
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

If we are going to perceive a new thing that God wants to do in us or through us we have to be actively dialoguing with Jesus in and through the scriptures. That means you ask a question and He answers back through the word of God. In the verse above this paragraph, I want you to read that out loud. The word of God is alive, full of God’s spirit, and the word of God divides the lies that life throws us daily. The word of God redirects our motives and our thoughts.

English Standard Version
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2 ESV

The only way that God can transform us is by the renewing of our minds. Sound’s like God is directly saying to us that if we want a new mind He will give it through the scriptures. God radically wants to transform us, but we have to be willing to find it in the word of God.

Do you sense God is wanting to do a ” new thing” in your life?

Are you confused or unsure about it?

What is leading your walk with God?

All three of these questions are easily solved. The answer is to be found in the word of God.

I challenge you this week, ask God a question in your life. A problem that is throwing you for a loop? See, if He will not lead you to the answer! He is faithful! There are amazing conversations to be had with The Lord of the Universe! What are you waiting for…

Here are some more scriptures about God’s glorious word.

Hearing the Heart

I think the worst downfall for me is a transition. I mean really how much of us like drastic changes? I know for me I fight with all that I have and the funny thing is I always end up loving the difference. That is where I am currently, right smack dab in the middle of hard change. ( I am sighing at this moment whispering. It is, what it is.) One of my commentaries said: ” Sighing is just groan for home, a cry for redemption.”

Psalm 38:9 ESV

O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you.

Even my subtle sigh is heard, nothing missed by the sovereign ears of God. There is great comfort in that for us today. That we would be understood by the creator of life, acknowledged by the lifter of our head’s. It seems when I am tossed around in the waves my heart goes directly to the Psalms, such practical and heartfelt cries to the Lord.  That He not only hears my physical cries, but even more, He actually listens and knows the ache of the heart like a melody.

Psalm 139:3-4 TPT ( Passion Translation)

You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.

I am reminded to give Him the invitation to search my heart throughout my life. Not just while the ache is the loudest, but when the ache is dull. Continually search and know my heart, Lord.

Psalm 139:23 TPT (Passion Translation)

God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares.

I invite you today, maybe if you are in the middle of rough transition and your heart is just aching. I merely want to remind you we are all on a journey. A journey with God through this life into the next. A mission is often long and challenging, but it is worth every step. Don’t give up now! Just because you are on the beginning of a new path doesn’t mean that He is not with you. The route could be dark with a blanket of dense fog appearing, but what gives illumination is the beautiful unfolding of His word. It will cast light on the next step. Hang in there, keep praying, keeping reading your Bible, most of all keep worshiping through the transition there is power in His presence.

Psalm 119:130 ESV

The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

This simple truth sets an aching heart upright and redirects us right back into the loving gaze of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

The Deceitful Distractions

Luke 10:38-42English Standard Version (ESV)

Martha and Mary

38 Now as they went on their way, Jesus[a] entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.40 But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” 41 But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary.[b] Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

beautiful-blur-braids-1006195

This small bit of info in the scriptures has always intrigued me. I mean I get the spiritual implication here. I know that we can get so caught up in serving that we forget to come to Jesus in prayer and allow Him to teach us His word. What I really want to focus in on is Jesus reply to Martha. After she has what I call a spiritual breakdown and physical fatigue meltdown.

The reason we react just like Martha in our journey with Jesus is:

1.) We are distracted

Just like it says here in verse forty, 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.”

Martha was distracted with much serving and not enough time with Jesus who gives rest

beautiful-blur-fashion-210628.jpg

When we have a distracted mind frame, we are spread thin. Troubled mindset is always related to not taking our cares to God in prayer. We think we can just “handle it” “we believe God has strengthened us enough to take care of it” or “We might even find it is just not important enough to vocalize to God.” We are carrying loads of emotion, regret, and shame and suppressing it instead of sharing it with the burden carrier. This leads straight to excuses then before you know it we have arrived at distracted danger. You know it could be as little as someone said something to you that hurt you to the core. It could be that you are struggling financially, it could be that you are having major problems in your relationships with your loved ones. All these things have the potential to distract us from the word of God. Oh, how guilty of this I am. No matter how mature or immature I appear or even am, I still need to reset and rest at the feet of Jesus.  That will never change, His Word says:

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

2.) We become impatient

Martha says directly to Jesus ” Lord! Do you even care that my sister has left me alone to serve? Tell her to help me!!!!

So, when we become distracted any little infraction becomes gigantic and we microscope everything, everyone, every situation. We are walking around like a nuclear bomb waiting to unleash on everyone and everything. We are bubbling over with cares concerns, and criticisms that have not been passed through the Word of God or at the feet of Jesus. We are wired like eight-day clocks.  This is stress, it is building up because we are holding it in. Again, no matter how far I grow up in Christ. If I am not careful, I naturally get to a place where I begin to do this. Jesus knows this and is well aware of “What is actually eating at Gilbert Grape.” This is when we should be clued in, this is when the Holy Spirit is saying ” Come to me, I will give you comfort, rest, assurance.” Our instinct is to hold it in, but Jesus is saying ” Tell Me, what is bothering you.” If we do what the Word of God says:

1Peter 5:7

7  casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.

You know Martha is not the only person to think that God did not care about a circumstance. The disciples also did the same thing in

Mark 4:38.

38  But He was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him up and said to Him, “Teacher! Don’t You care that we’re going to die?”

The boat was catching water, it was tipping back and forth, so many men crammed in, lighting striking all around, wind blowing them down. You get the picture! Yet in letting the storm distract them, they grew impatient. They cried out and accused The Lord of not caring about their lives. Sound familiar??? I know it does to me! I am so thankful for infinite grace and renewed mercies every day for all of us.

The third and final point I want to draw out is

3.) Jesus is faithful, even when we are distracted and impatient.

Even in our distraction and impatience Jesus still answer’s us. He calms us down and say’s to us just what He said to Martha

41 But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,

Jesus knows what really is bothering Martha, she is trying to carry all of it on her shoulders. She is trying to control and she can not, she is trying to rely on herself instead of Jesus, she is not allowing herself enough time with Jesus to unload her cares and concerns to Jesus who gives rest.

We are all Martha’s at times, we just have to remember that there is always a pair of feet we can come and rest at.

Phillipans 4:6

6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Luke 12:22

22  Then He said to His disciples: “Therefore I tell you, don’t worry about your life, what you will eat; or about the body, what you will wear.

I love a comma, I love that there is something that follows right behind what we know we should already do. It is called God’s grace, and without it, we are bankrupt. It is how love endures and never fails.

Notice after Jesus tells Martha what the real problem is he follows up with an invitation at least that is what I see in this scripture.

41 But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is necessary.[b] Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

book-lake-learning-34075.jpg

But one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the right portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

Jesus is telling Martha ” That can wait, Martha, come and join Mary and sit at my feet and listen.

Jesus said one thing is necessary for us to continue to move forward in our relationship, our callings, our season’s of life. That is that when we feel overwhelmed, defeated, anxious, upset, angry or happy, joyful, and rejoicing that we make time for us to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to what He says and teaches us, daily. He invites us, He never forces. He will remain to wait even when we come to Him asking with prayer ” Lord! DO YOU EVEN CARE!”

Of course, He cares, He is just not distracted by the storm like we are. He is the living God, nothing moves Him; except us. He moved from His throne to save us. He moves on our behalf every day. He is our all in all; our Champion. Our Hero.

Psalm 16:5  Lord, You are my portion hand my cup of blessing; You hold my future

Psalm 27:4  I have asked one thing from the  Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the  Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the  Lord and seeking Him in His temple

Remember our work is unto the Lord

John 6:27

27  Don’t work for the food that perishes d but for the food that lasts for eternal life,  which the Son of Man  will give you, because God the Father has set His seal of approval on Him.”

Down Deep In My Soul

38839d3b02a8ef159b7e9f1d6681e167
We all feel discouraged or forgotten about at times. We can get so discouraged in our walks with Christ that we can forget His promises to us. That He will be with us until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). That He will never leave nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5/Deut. 31:6) He never promised that it wouldn’t be hard or that it wouldn’t be painful but, He did promise to use ALL things for good. Eventually, with time, He will use even the bad things in our lives for our good (Romans 8:28), He promises that His love for us is everlasting. (Jer. 31:3) Yes, in this verse He is directly talking to Israel, but since we are now the spiritual descendants of Abraham we have all of God’s promises, it is truth and grace, and it is beautiful. We are grafted into Jesus. (Romans 11:17). Because we are grafted in, we are spiritual descendants of Abraham (Galatians 3:29)
If you feel the least bit of insecurity/ rivalry or discouraged/forgotten about. Cry it out to the Lord, listen He already knows what is eating away at you. He knows why, when, where, what, and how it all started. We just have to speak it out to Him so that He can affirm and make us secure in Him again.
I received encouragement from an incredible woman Friday! Someone who I greatly admire and mimic in the faith, which is scriptural. Hebrews 13:17 Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.
She gave me a Psalm to read, just thought I would pass it on.
Psalm 18:28-39
28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop;
with my God I can scale a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.
31 For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God?
32 It is God who arms me with strength
and keeps my way secure.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
he causes me to stand on the heights.
34 He trains my hands for battle;
my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
36 You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way…
39 You armed me with strength for battle
No matter where in the journey we are with God we need two crucial things in our lives we need:
 *Regular prayer time/relationship with Jesus
*Word of God
*A few spiritual mentors who spur us on & encourage us, correct, and teach us.
I might not have it all, but what I do have I am incredibly thankful for.

Burning Bright or Dark as Night

bushel

Are we sitting on our bushel basket’s hiding our light?

Mark. 4:21

And he said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

Are we Christian’s who are wondering where is the power of God in my life?

The light that we are choosing to place under our bushel baskets is a lamp. That light is meant to be sitting on a lampstand; Burning and seen.

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

The light that we are putting under our bushel basket is the Word of God. We are living this half in and half out the Christian life. We might pray, we might give up 15 minutes for our devotional’s, we might go to church every Sunday and Wednesday. We might even listen to the Pastor wholeheartedly taking notes and highlighting in our Bible’s. Somehow and someway by 10 a.m. Monday morning we look more like the world than a person that has never met Jesus Christ. The reason is not complicated theology. It is simply we do not read, meditate upon the Word of God. We need intimacy with Jesus. The only way to achieve that is through the Word of God and prayer time.

alight

Psalm 119:105  ESV

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

It guides us when we are wandering. It shines in the darkness of the valley and the evil that may lurk there. The Word of God strengthen’s us when we are weary

Isaiah 40:31 ESV

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 119:28

My soul melts away for sorrow;
strengthen me according to your word!

The Word of God imparts faith when we are faithless

Romans 10:17 ESV

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The Word helps us when we are feeling hopeless

Jer. 29:11 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

The Word of God will drive us when we are distracted and doubtful

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB

All Scripture is [a]inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for [b]training in righteousness; 17 so that (B)the man of God may be adequate, (C)equipped for every good work.

Finally, The Word of God is Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and life.

John 1:1-5 NASB

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The Word of God is the breath of God on these beautiful bound pages. A tangible, visible item to hold close, to lay over our precious head’s when our minds are in overload and anxious. The Word of God is to us the very visible image of Christ. We can imagine a mirror in front of Christ and a mirror behind Christ. Christ is standing in the middle. The Old Testament foreshadows Christ, and the New Testament reflects Christ.  It is all about Jesus, and He is in the midst of every line, word, and chapter. I love that, I cherish that, most of all I crave that! Simply because it is where Jesus Christ dwells and where He is I want to be.

So, when we say ” I can’t hear Him!” ” I can’t see Him!”  I can’t help to think ” How could you not?” He is in Genesis to Revelation. He appears in every line and every word. He takes us by the hand, heart, and mind and speaks to us through Himself. Now think about that!!  That get’s me excited to open that Bible on our coffee table and listen to the Creator of the Universe, The Holder of our life, The Savior of the World.  The coolest part is when He is finished talking we get to respond! Now that is a relationship at it’s best! That is what made this girl fall head over heels in love with a man that knew everything that I’d ever done. Even though I have never physically seen or touched Him. That is the wonder of His love! I love a surprise! I love the excitement of wonder!

If we choose carefully the Word of The Lord will remain forever in our heart’s, mind’s, and soul’s

The Word of the Lord will endure forever we see that in Isaiah 40:8, but through Jesus, The Word of the Lord can last forever in us through what Jesus did for all of us. In 1 Peter there is a verse that says something that just challenges me

1 Peter 1:25 NASB

But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

And this is the word which was preached to you.

This verse leaves us with a challenge, a pressing and wonder-filled challenge.

When I read this verse, it is screaming to me, now that you know the Word are you going to share it? Will you allow the Word that has been given to you to endure forever in your heart, mind, soul?

Am I going to place Jesus under a bushel basket?

Or

Am I going to put Jesus on the lampstand of my heart and allow Him to illuminate my path? Trimming the lamp with the oil of the Holy Spirit that abides in me? Will I cut my fire with the Word of God so that the oil can burn and shine the light and the love of Jesus?

That is the only way we will ever live this Christ-filled life. We must do our part of knowing God through the Word if we are truly going to let our light’s shine. You must study, read, and know God’s Word to live like a Christian. Christian’s who live without the Word of God are miserable only because God is trying to get us to open those wonder-filled pages and get us to know our Him! Until, we do that task of studying, reading the Word, we will continue to live without the overcoming power of Christ in our lives. My prayer is that every lost person come to know Jesus, but that every Saved, Redeemed Christian would fall madly in love with Jesus, the Savior, and the Word. I want you to think of the Word of God; differently, I want you to see the Word as Jesus, Himself because He is the Word (John 1). I think maybe if we thought about that a little more we would not be so eager or relaxed about dismissing study or reading time in the Bible and meeting with the Creator of the Universe through prayer.

I am praying today that you would spend time with Jesus today <3 He loves you so.

Relationship Through….

Lord, let me say this with love in my heart and grace in my words.
If we do not know what gifting or calling we have in Christ Jesus may, I suggest something friend.

See, just out of being a follower of Christ Jesus does not mean He just poofs things into existence. He is not mystical. I mean He could, in His sovereignty if He desired to but, see, God is after something. He is after you! He wants you to speak to Him through prayer. He wants you to know His character through the pages of scripture. He intends to reveal to you personally. That means not just through a Pastor or a teacher

they introduce, they don’t produce Jesus for you or I.

( So, cut those men some slack! Pastor’s have responsibility’s, Yes, but they are not Jesus. They can’t be everything to you or I.)

Okay, getting back on track Jesus only reveals His callings, directions, instructions, constructions, healings, truth, discernment. To those who pray. I have talked to so many and have read from so many that say: “God just didn’t call me; as he has called you.”
Well, my dear, that would be canceling out hundreds of old testament scriptures and new testament scriptures. The fact is if you sincerely don’t feel like God has called or purposed you for anything. Can I ask you these questions?

1.)Have you asked Him?

2.) How is your prayer life? Do you have one?

3.) Are you seeking His face and will through prayer and scripture?

4.) Are you trying to read scripture to find the answers you that only make you feel good? (Quick fix of Jesus to make you feel good)

Only you, can truly answer these questions. Find time today, to seriously consider what your answers are.

Then, pray about them and most of all ask for help with each one. It is a daily walk with Jesus He knows that already, we are the ones that have to figure it out. He knows our hearts and character better than we know ourselves. It’s time we get to know God’s heart and character through scripture and prayer. I thought of this scripture in

Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened into you:

So, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to give us all of Him.That we may seek His will and the scripture says: seek , we shall find. Lastly, if we knock open the pages of scripture to seek and ask the Holy Spirit will open the door of His Heart to guide us correctly and effectively. He hears us. ❤

12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Jeremiah 29:12

These are all questions every single purpose-driven Christian ask ourselves continually. It’s a constant battle against the flesh. It rises and falls in the blink of an eye. This is the battle that God has enabled us to remain in victory. Not because we can but, because the Holy Spirit can.  God did not give me more gifting than you; that’s absurd. He gave me talents and through getting to know Him in Scripture and through many prayers He showed me who I am in Him.

That’s the million dollar formula see, no big secret or prayer I said. It’s just relationship and Him being God. You can have all that He has given me and more. Whatever you see it’s Jesus. It’s not one smidge of me. You wouldn’t love me, but you love Jesus in me. That is the compliment of a lifetime! I’ll take it, sweet sister!

That verse is a promise to every child of God through the blood of Jesus Christ our Savior. He is renewing me every day and He will you too; if you will pray and study.
He is always right there we just have to seek Him out through the Holy Spirits guidance that’s how we actually fellowship with Him. I pray, if you do not know Jesus Christ the Savior of the world, that today would be the day you meet Him. If you would like to know more about Jesus Christ contact me at:
